AUTHORISATIONTO OPEN TEACHING POSITIONS lN THE EIGHT STATE UNIVERSITIES OF CAMEROON

ln accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Head of State, the Prime Minister, Head of Government informs the general public that there shall be a recruitment of one thousand (1000) University teachers in State Universities in Cameroon, for the 2019 fiscal year.

This recruitment concerns .Cameroonians aged at most 45 years on 1 October 2019, and holders of a Doctorat or a PhD.

The teaching positions shall be distributed as follows:

Universityof Bamenda:132 positions

Universityof Buea:130 positions

Universityof Douala:127positions

Universityof Dschang:109 positions

University of Maroua:102positions

Universityof Ngaoundere:130positions

Universityof Yaounde 1:130 positions

University of Yaounde II:100 positions

Quota for academic regulation:40 positions

The recruitment process shall be coordinated by the Minister in charge of Higher Education according to the regulatory provisions in force.

Each interested candidate shall submit his/her file to only one of the eight (8) State Universities of his/her choice, latest on 21 May 2019.

Cameroonians living abroad shall deposit their files in Diplomatie missions and Consular offices, latest on 21 May 2019.

The applicationfile shall include the following documents:

1.A stamped application not older than three (3) months, addressed to the head of the University chosen:

2.A certified photocopy of birth certificate signed within the last three months;

3.A detailed and signed Curriculum vitae;

4,Certified photocopies of ail certificates from the Baccalaureat or GCE Adva nced Level;

5.A copy of the Doctorat or the PhD thesis;

6.Copies of articles or off-prints of any publications, where necessary;

7.A medical certificate lssued within the last three (3) months by a medical doctor of the public health sector;

8.Four (4) passport size photographs (colour);

9.A photocopy of a valid National Identity Card or receipt;

10.An attestation of service as permanent teacher in the university of origin, signed by a competent authority, for candidates who are applying for the position of senior lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor;

11.A certificate of non-conviction issued within the last three (3) months;

12.A certificate of nationality and/or, for candidates living abroad, photocopies of passport and residence permit certified by the Cameroonian Consular services;

13.An attestation of effective presence signed by a competent authority (for candidates moving from one corps to another);

14.An authorisation from the present Minister or head of Administration (for candidates moving from one corps to another);

15. A copy of National disability card (for Disabled people)

16. A pledge of Honor on: (I)The authensity of the documents provided; (ii) the effective availability of the candidate, and for Candidates living abroad; (iii) the non-existence of any situation that gives rise ta double employment.

The recruitment will respect the regulatory academic process, that ls:

For assistant lecturer position:

-File review and interview of candidates at the Departmental Scientific Commîttee concerned, as required by each university;

-Opinion of Faculty Scientific.. Committee;

-Opinion of the Consultative Committee for the Recruitment of Assistant Lecturers presided by the Vice-Chancellor or Rector of the university;

-Approval by the Technical Committee in charge of recruitment at the Ministry in charge of Higher Education;

-Transmission, for final decision, to the Central Supervisory Commission.

For candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor:

-Opinion of 1 the Consultative Committee of University Institutions (CCUI);

-Approval by the Technical Committee in charge of recruitment at the Ministry in charge of Higher Education;

-Transmission, for the final decision, to the Central Supervisory Commission.
